Hi, my name is Jackie Walti. Thank you for dropping by my website; I’d like to give you some personal background about myself, and my feelings about caring for children.

My lengthy employment background covers a wide variety from working in fast food restaurants, to cosmetology, to property management, administrative assistant, and childcare.
I’ve lived in my current home since 1990. My family consists of seven members, three daughters and three sons, three of my adult children have their own businesses!

To become licensed for family daycare I attended an eight-hour long orientation class, was fingerprinted, and a child abuse check was done on me and subsequently my kids as they reached age 18. (The Department of Justice investigated our fingerprints and child abuse check). I also attended 15 hours of classes to become certified by the State of California in infant and child CPR and First Aid, (renewable every two years; anyone living in my home has been fingerprinted, and anyone who is in contact with the children also are certified in CPR and First Aid). Meanwhile I attend classes occasionally that are provided by the Licensing Dept. I have visits from licensing yearly for home inspections.
I began my childcare business in 1997 because of several reasons. First, as I had been working since my first child was only 3 weeks old. In the last years before I quit my job I had the most wonderful day care provider a parent could ask for. She made it so easy for me to go to work every day, (as difficult as it is when you do not want to leave your children). My own were very happy staying with her. And so then, I had the opportunity to stay home with my children; I also wanted to care for other children, to give them the love and nurturing that they need while their parents are at work. I want you to feel the security and trust that I had experienced in the past years when I worked outside the home, knowing that your children are well cared for and loved while at work.
I offer your child a structured day. Depending upon the age of your child, we will be reading, coloring, doing arts and crafts from time to time, and playing out in the back yard. We will celebrate holidays and birthdays in some manner, whether it be making things or by having a party. The children receive well balanced meals and nutritious snacks.
